 Application of AGV in assembly shop

  1. Selection of AGV and navigation method

  (1) Selection of AGV The rated load of AGV is mainly 300kg, 500kg, 750kg, 1000kg, 1500kg and 3000kg. AGV is a non-standard product, which can be customized according to different situations. At present, the world's largest AGV load has reached 60t. The selection of AGV is determined by the quality of the distribution materials, and can be selected according to its actual situation.

  (2) Selection of navigation methods The navigation methods of AGV mainly include electromagnetic navigation, magnetic tape navigation, magnetic point navigation, laser navigation, optical navigation and inertial navigation. In the assembly shop application, considering the comprehensive cost, later improvement and maintenance convenience, tape navigation is the best choice. This navigation method is also the most widely used and mature in the automotive industry.

  2. Planning of AGV operation route

  A correct and reasonable AGV operation route can not only improve production efficiency and work efficiency, but also reduce the number of AGVs used, thereby reducing equipment input costs and logistics costs. Therefore, the design of AGV operation routes needs to follow the following principles: Two minimum principles: The minimum passing distance and the minimum logistics cost; two avoidance principles: avoid roundabout and cross.

  3. Accounting of AGV quantity

  The number of AGVs used (N) is determined by many factors, including the following factors:

  (1) Production cycle (t): the time taken by each station to complete its operation, the unit is s;

  (2) AGV driving speed (v): the average speed of AGV driving under normal conditions, the unit is m / min;

  (3) Travel distance (l): the distance traveled by AGV to complete a working cycle, the unit is m;

  (4) The number of traction materials (n): the number of AGV traction materials that can be supplied to the assembled vehicle in units of units;

  (5) Working cycle (T): the time required by AGV to complete a working cycle, the unit is min.

  The AGV quantity is calculated as follows:

  N = 60T / nt

  T = (l / v) + waiting time

  4. AGV related auxiliary equipment

  During the operation of AGV, some auxiliary equipment is required to be perfectly combined with the production system, such as automatic / manual charging system, automatic loading / unloading auxiliary device for AGV, AGV scheduling system, and automatic disconnection / hook device for AGV.

  Conclusion

  At present, the application of AGV in the automobile assembly workshop is very mature. The short-term capital investment can not only save labor costs in the long term, but also improve the logistics automation level and corporate image in the workshop. Today, labor costs and corporate image are increasingly important. It will definitely become more and more extensive.
