The new coronavirus in 2020 is a double-edged sword for the AGV industry. On the one hand, it has made the AGV industry unable to move for nearly half a year (customers cannot travel). On the other hand, in the face of the unmanned trend, AGV is likely to usher in a wave of market and even open the demand of various industries.
This time the new crown made the hospital overcrowded. Without adequate protective measures, the medical staff worked for a long time, lacked rest, and their immunity decreased. How to ensure the safety of the medical staff?
In fact, the number of infected medical personnel has not yet been released, and how many medical personnel have been sacrificed for rescue? However, according to Academician Zhong Nanshan's disclosure, it was learned that 14 medical staff were infected during the care of a patient. Such accidents are still being staged in the hospital and on the front line.
We in the AGV industry, for the solution to such an accident, think of a medical service robot, which can be accurately said to be a service AGV. AGV is used to deliver medicines and meals to solve the spread of this highly infectious disease. It is believed that in the future, service-oriented medical AGV will gradually replace the dangerous, heavy and even all the work of human beings.
In fact, more than a decade ago, medical AGV has been applied, and it has sporadic applications in Europe, Singapore, and the United States. The Beijing Tiantan Hospital in China and several top three hospitals in Anhui also have applications. But after all, it is sporadic. In the future, the AGV House believes that in the highly contagious, heavy and dangerous scenes, there will be an explosive market demand;
And back to this new crown event, there are already medical AGVs on the front line. For example, Shanghai Titanium Robots has successively sent 42 disinfection robots to Hubei area for use in 6 hospitals including Wuhan Central Hospital, Xiehe Hospital, and Zhongnan Hospital. However, it sounds like a good application, but at the beginning, when the distribution robot thought about Xiehe Hospital, the leaders who went to the hospital hesitated again and again, which also shows that the application of AGV in the medical industry still has obstacles to remove.
So, we must first analyze what medical AGV can do? What are the difficulties in using robots for sanitation and epidemic prevention?
What can medical AGVs do? According to the analysis of AGV House, there are three main uses of AGV for medical services. 1. Ordinary medicine delivery and meal delivery functions; 2. Transport and disinfection in dangerous areas; 3. Grab and deliver medicines in the pharmacy according to the system; 4. Accompany and monitor AGV for critically ill and dangerous patients
As far as the current medical environment is concerned, what problems does AGV feeding bring? For ordinary medicine and food delivery is the most difficult. 1. Lost; 2. Transferred / wrongly taken (it is also possible for the patient to take the wrong one); 3. Do n’t use it for crime; 4. AGV failure; Some people will say, add a locker. But this poses habit and common sense challenges for patients;
In the second category, feeding and disinfection of hazardous areas is currently relatively easy to implement. After all, in dangerous areas and sensitive times, there are no more people and no possibility of crime. However, the failure rate of AGV is challenged. If the AGV fails, the impact is also huge;
Now there are robots used for surgery. The AGV application in the dangerous area must be a large air vent, but the more dangerous the place, the higher the requirements for AGV. The failure caused by the failure is also very large. Therefore, further requirements for the technology and service of AGV manufacturers are put forward.
The third type of grabbing and taking AGV has already been applied. AGVs in pharmacies, like Fetch & Feight, have already been partially promoted. This is a subdivision that the AGV House is optimistic about;
Compared with manual checklists, AGV started to grab medicines after the doctor issued the bill and the patient paid the fees. Perhaps the person who took the medicine has not yet come to the collection point, and the medicine has been caught at the designated collection point.
In the fourth category, escort and surveillance AGVs are used to replace medical personnel's night patrols and daytime reminders. Such requirements are also a good branch of applications.
Wuhan Xiehe Hospital was also hesitant based on such considerations. For us AGV people, how to solve the customer's concerns, and the user-friendliness is the root of the problem.
Fundamental AGV expects that after the new crown epidemic, Chinese medical units will have a wave of equipment purchase peaks to cope with and make up for the lack of early warning and reserves. And medical service AGV will also become an important subdivision (unmanned advantage) of this wave of equipment. From the perspective of big data, this wave of equipment procurement is about 300 billion yuan, and how much can AGV be allocated? A conservative estimate is that there are still two-thousandths less.
The demand of 300-600 million is equivalent to opening an AGV segment; if the mature application of AGV in the medical industry, the larger market of medical and pharmaceutical can be expected;
