The AGV generally uses a wheel drive and is characterized by an electric vehicle. The AGV trolley can automatically transport goods under the unified scheduling of the ground control system for automated material transfer. Because of its flexibility, intelligence and other characteristics, it can easily reorganize the system to achieve the purpose of flexible transportation in the production process. Compared with traditional manual or semi-manual material conveying methods, AGV system greatly reduces labor intensity and risk, improves work efficiency, and can play a role in machinery, electronics, textiles, cigarettes, medical, food, paper and other industries. The design of foreign AGV systems is relatively high in application level and has a wide range of applications. The domestic application is relatively small, but with the joint efforts of all parties, the design level and application level of the domestic AGV system are approaching or catching up with the international advanced level.

AGV system and AGV structure

The AGV system consists of a console, communication system, ground navigation system, charging system, AGV and ground transfer equipment, as shown in Figure 1-1.

Figure 1-1 Schematic diagram of the AGV system
The main control computer is responsible for the connection and management of the AGV system and the external system. It delivers the AGV delivery task to the console according to the material requirements of the site. After the AGV battery capacity drops to a predetermined value, the charging system automatically charges the AGV. Ground transfer equipment generally uses a roller conveyor, chain conveyor, etc. to automatically transfer materials from the automated warehouse or work site to the AGV, or vice versa. The material can be transferred from the AGV and transported to the destination. AGV, charging system, ground transfer equipment, etc. can be arranged according to actual needs and work site, which also reflects the flexibility of AGV in automated logistics.
The structure of the AGV consists of an in-vehicle control system, a vehicle body system, a navigation system, a walking system, a transfer system, and a safety and auxiliary system
