Do you know the driving methods of AGV? Today, Xiaobian will explain to you the common drivers currently on the market.
(1) Single drive for three-wheeled models: one drive and steering wheel, two fixed driven wheels (distributed on both sides of the body axis). This model can go forward, backward, and turn left and right (the angle is less than 90°). Due to the good grip of the three-wheel structure, the surface requirements of the ground are general and applicable to a wide range of environments and occasions.

(2) Differential drive, commonly available in three-wheel and four-wheel models: two fixed drive wheels (distributed on both sides of the body axis), one (three-wheeled model) or two (four-wheeled models) driven freewheel The turn is achieved by the speed difference between the two drive wheels. This type of vehicle can move forward, backward, turn left and right (angle greater than 90°), and rotate in place. The adaptability of turning is stronger than that of single drive. In the case of a three-wheeled model, the suitability for the ground surface is similar to that of a single drive. If it is a four-wheeled model, it is easy to cause one of the wheels to float and affect navigation. Therefore, the surface flatness of the ground is demanding and the scope of application is limited.

(3) Double drive for four-wheel models: two drive and steering wheels, two driven free wheels. This model can travel forward, backward, and all-round (universal). The outstanding feature is that it can control any change of the body posture during driving, and is suitable for narrow passages or environments and occasions with special requirements for the working direction. The shortcomings are similar to the four-wheeled models driven by differential speed. The surface flatness of the ground is demanding and the scope of application is limited. In addition, the structure is complicated and the cost is high.

(4) Multi-wheel drive for eight-wheel models: four drive and steering wheels, four driven free wheels. This model can go forward, backward, and all-round. It is applied to heavy-duty industry transportation, with complex structure and high cost.
