The smallest and compact traction AGV
Appearance looks like a balance car
Auto-hook + autonomous navigation
The British company RoboSavvy has developed a traction AGV TugBot, which looks like a balancing car, with a size of only 741 * 640 * 463mm, which is smaller and more compact than the traction AGV MiR Hook (click to view) previously reported by LogTV The smallest size of MiR Hook is 1180 * 580 * 550), which is currently the smallest traction AGV on the market. This traction AGV will be used in hazardous, cumbersome or labor-intensive work environments. Its main work is material handling, shelving, replenishment, picking assistance, parts to production line, etc.
TugBot navigates within a defined route or work area, searching for payload. Once determined, TugBot will automatically be attached to the wheeled cart or pallet and transport it to the specified location. TugBot's tow hook can withstand a payload of 250kg. TugBot will automatically detect obstacles and brake urgently or automatically find a new route. This allows TugBot to work in a dynamic environment, it can automatically plan the path or remember and repeat the path according to the map. It can follow one person or another TugBot to start the job.
Advantages of TugBot
1. Improve facility safety
By allowing robots to complete dangerous, cumbersome and labor-intensive tasks, you can reduce the risk of employee injuries. TugBot is equipped with safety features, including an emergency stop switch and laser obstacle detection, which can achieve a safer working environment.
2. Reduce personnel costs
TugBot can complete tedious and repetitive tasks, freeing workers to complete higher-value tasks, while reducing the number of workers moving back and forth in the warehouse .
3. No need to change the infrastructure
TugBot uses a combination of cameras, lasers, sensors, environment matching markers and GPS to achieve positioning and navigation without changing the infrastructure of the operating environment.
